What is Brachioplasty?

The arm lift is a surgical procedure that reduces the excess hanging skin, reduces localized pockets of adiposity in the upper arm region, tightens and smooths the underlying supportive tissue that defines the shape of the upper arm, and provides a more toned and proportionate appearance to the arms. It is the second most common post-bariatric body contouring plastic surgery performed in Baton Rouge.

Brachioplasty surgery

Incisions are generally placed on the inside of the arm or on the back of the arm, depending on the surgeon's preference, and may extend from the underarm (axilla) to just above the elbow. The length and pattern of the incision depends on the amount and location of the excess skin to be excised, and will be judged and determined by your plastic surgeon. Adiposity will be excised or treated with Liposuction (PAL-Pulsed Ultrasound Assisted Liposuction).
